Book 1: Mars Rebels

The events portrayed here are from the period of the Martian Revolution from just prior to the start of the revolution in 2170 onwards. These dramatic events are seen through the eyes of a teenage Martian, Emily K, who, along with her family, is thrown into the middle of the revolution. Emily kept a diary, in which she documents the historical drama around her, her feelings and emotions as events unfold. Fortunately for us, Emily was to be central to many of the key events of the revolution, indeed she gives us a front seat for the period of the Interplanetary Wars.

Emily has to come to terms with the war, with death, loss and guilt. She has to cope with all the normal pressures that happen to teenagers as they grow into adults.

But there are even more pressures. There are great expectations on Emily, as she is the great-grand-daughter of Sergi Korylov, the 'Chief Designer' who lead the USSR into space first. And there are her parents, both top scientists in there own right.
